The Silver Koala series is a popular coin to be collected due to the changing design of the koala every year. It was originally a one-ounce coin in 2007, and then in 2008 they expanded the coin series to four different sizes including a one-kilo, 10 oz, and ½ oz coins. This coin is Australian legal tender and the one-ounce coin carries a face value of one Australian dollar.

Queen Elizabeth II is always on the obverse of this coin. She is facing the right in a profile position. Around her profile, you will see an engraving of the coin’s denomination.
